Donating

Running Love London costs money. Its activities and promotion of events all need to be funded. Please prayerfully consider donating to this initiative. Ultimately, you would be helping Love London to spread the Gospel across the capital.

Praying

Love London really needs your prayers! Please pray that:

  • God’s will for Love London will be done.
  • God will inspire churches to grasp the vision of working together to reach our communities.
  • Lives will be changed as we demonstrate God’s love in our city.
  • The Gospel will be made accessible to people.
  • All Love London’s running costs will be met.

What’s your prayer for Love London?

Irene in Willesden, London Borough of Brent. NW10

Dear Father, please build a vibrant church life in London. Enable us to lay firm foundations through ‘Love London’ that will reap the harvest that has been planted by The Holy Spirit in the hearts of many. Give us a willingness to get involved using our talents, so that we can be used to mightily build up your church. Give church leaders vision and excitement that will rage like fire through the dry tinder of the indifferent masses. Give us the tools to reach many for the Kingdom that was bought for us by the blood of Jesus. Amen

Mary in Acton, London Borough of Ealing. W3

Lord, I pray that your unfailing love will touch the city of London. May people’s lives change when they give their lives to Jesus. Lord Jesus, you died on the cross for the population of London. Please have mercy and save this city.

David from the London Borough of Hackney, E5

That more Christians will be motivated to love their neighbour every day.

John from the London Borough of Hammersmith. W6

May all denominations in our area come together in love, praise, worship, prayer and teaching, recognising that we are ONE Church united by Christ. I pray we engage with the workers who travel to Hammersmith every day. I pray for the medical students at Charring Cross Hospital and Imperial College to be effective in outreach. I pray for the many Filipino migrant workers who have the love of Christ but need warm friendship, prayer and Bible study. May peace be on our streets and in our homes.

Alicia in Surrey, London Borough of Kingston upon Thames. KT2

My prayer is that Christians of all denominations will unite so that we can transform our communities and bring revival to London.

Jason in Romford, London Borough of Havering. RM1

Dear Lord, I pray for revival to hit this great city from Uxbridge in the west to Upminster in the east and from Barnet in the north to Purley in the south and from the inner city of Hackney and Peckham to the outer suburbs. I pray for football stadiums to be filled with people worshipping you instead of Arsenal, Chelsea or Tottenham. I pray for 24 hour prayer houses to be raised up. I ask that all churches will triple in their size. I pray for imams to have a vision of Jesus and convert entire mosques to Christianity. Praise the Lord, Amen.

Annietta from the London Borough of Hackney, N1

Thank you Lord for giving us such a beautiful and diverse place to live in London. Lord, give wisdom, grace and sensitivity to our Government and local leaders and the conviction to properly lead us. Lord, where there is hunger, provide for them and where there is hatred, bring love. I pray for our children to love and respect life and to come know You. May we all live in peace and harmony and work together to your praise and glory. Amen

Verena in Plumstead, London Borough of Bexley, SE18

For the church to realise its potential and work together and for Christians to be revived in their faith and to be passionate about their neighbourhood. For the love of God to penetrate people’s lives.

Sara from the London Borough of Newham, E7

I pray for unity and love. I pray for the prodigals to come home, the sick, orphans, widows, prisoners, elders and youth to know Christ. I pray for broken hearted, drug addicts and prostitutes to be touched and saved. I pray that God grants wisdom, knowledge and understanding to Gordon Brown and the politicians in all their law making. May God reveal to them the truth about the Gospel. If we all pray, God will hear us and heal London.

Ian in Romford, London Borough of Havering. RM3

That London would be free from knife crime.

Tony in Uxbridge, London Borough of Hillingdon, UB8

I pray for a sense of community across the boroughs, which make up London. People need to learn to be neighbours and look out for each other and step in where there is pain and injustice. I pray Christians will see Christ in the people around them and look out of their front doors instead of inwards towards their pulpits. I pray that our leaders will actively lead and challenge those of faith to bring the love of Christ to those who need it most, regardless of their beliefs, ethnicity, sexuality, status, health, addictions or smell! I pray in the power of Jesus that we take back the streets and homes of London from the Princes of this world.

Andy from the London Borough of Lewisham, SE13

Lord, you know and love each person in this great city. I pray that you will open the eyes of each of us. I offer myself afresh to you to be an agent of your Kingdom. May your Kingdom come in London as it does in heaven. In Jesus’ name, Amen

Melanie from the London Borough of Islington, N5

My prayer for London is that God’s love and light would reach people in dark places and that the needy would be reached practically and spiritually. There is an enormous group of unreached, needy people in London – a lot of work needs doing. So my prayer is that followers of Jesus would take action and keep moving. Things are happening already!

Liz from the London Borough of Waltham Forest, E11

I pray that God will break down all the invisible barriers that cause strife, racism, selfishness, hatred and crime. May God pour out his spirit and cause us to love one another. Love allows us to live in peace.

Patricia from the London Borough of Wandsworth, SW11

That London neighbourhoods will become safer so that our young people will grow up to enjoy life. I pray that our churches will welcome and nourish the youth and become more proactive in social action.

Errol from the London Borough of Newham, E6

That the church will become a beacon of oneness in London and so trigger a revival. I pray that this city will become more friendly and caring.
