- London has the highest rate of child poverty in the UK with 2 in 5 children living below the poverty line, that’s over 600,000 children. (ONS, 2007)
- 36% of Inner London children were living in households with unemployed adults in 2006. (ONS)
- Children living in overcrowded conditions are 10 times more likely to contract meningitis. (Shelter)
