Event: Prayer for Southwark

This event is purposely a prayer meeting for the young and everyone in the borough at this time of increased guns and knife crimes. Our aim is to reach out to the community by prayer to bring young people back to God through this inter-denominational programme. We would appreciate your presence among us to praise and pray for this borough.

Prayer for Southwark is a prayer event to cry to heaven to help our youths out of crimes, the last two events were attended by Simon Hughes MP, Deputy Prime Minister’s office was represented, Eliza Mann, Denise Mayor of Southwark, Southwark Councillors, Superintendent Victor Olisa from Metropolitan Police, John Chambers Methodist Church, Sheryl Anderson Methodist Church, Karl Palmer Baptist Church, Rev Father Gregory Moore Catholic Church, David Wade Heartbeat International, Apostle Paul Fadeyi Grace Outreach, Pastor Ebenezer Sanctuary of Praise and many churches and church leaders within the borough of Southwark. Harris academy Bermondsey school choir participated in 2008 together with St Paul’s CE Primary School, Penrose Street and the community, Premier Christian Radio.

We have received confirmation of attendance from Simon Hughes MP, Mayor of Southwark, St Saviour’s & St Olave’s Secondary School choir, Gospel Artist, St Paul’s Primary school choir, various churches and schools in the borough of Southwark. Premier Christian Radio. Refreshments will also be available.

Venue Directions

By Tube: Bermondsey Station on the Jubilee Line. Turn left which is Jamaica Rd. Cross St James Rd. Church is infront of you!

By Bus: 188 from central London will drop you off between the tube staiton and St James Rd.

By Car: There is parking on and around Thurland Rd. Restrictions in the day but not evenings and weekends. At least not at the moment!
