News: Love London helps feed those in need

Churches across London are loving Londoners in crisis by starting foodbanks that give emergency food to those in need. The Trussell Trust’s foodbank network has been working with Premier Christian Radio’s Love London campaign to help more and more London churches feed their hungry neighbours through foodbanks.

Over the past few months the foodbank Network has been working with Premier Radio’s Love London campaign to get the word out – foodbank is coming to London! There are now six foodbanks across the capital and enquiries from over 40 churches have come in during the campaign – many of these will be turned into foddbanks meeting the needs of local communities. Andy Adenegan heard an ad for a Foodbank Development Officer while listening to Premier in his car and became aware of God calling him to action. He rose to the challenge and now works with churches across the city to help establish new foodbanks.

Our vision is to see a foodbank set up in every London borough and in every town in the UK. There are more to come – it is not too late to get involved! Cick here to find out how you can get involved.
